Hillel Curriculum

At Wolfson Hillel we follow the national curriculum, underpinned with our own school curriculum.  We know that children learn best when subjects are delivered in a relevant and meaningful context and therefore we teach the national curriculum creatively through topics.

The Hillel school curriculum is integrated into everything we do at Hillel.  Its roots lie in ensuring that children enjoy their time at school, take active responsibility for and pride in their own learning in the classroom and play well and have fun in the playground. Through three aspects –MyselfMy Relationships and My Learning – teachers give children opportunities to actively develop these skills.

Please see below for our school vision and click on the document to see our full Hillel Curriculum.

Vision

To create a safe, supportive and nurturing environment built on trusting relationships between children, staff, parents and the wider community. The school strives to understand each individual and unlock every child’s potential, by delivering an outstanding and ambitious curriculum for all through forward-thinking pedagogical practice, excellent facilities and resources, and creative, passionate staff. Children are taught to be proud of and understand their Jewish identity and so become well-rounded Jewish British citizens. Children are provided opportunities to shine academically, socially and emotionally so that they leave Wolfson Hillel confident and ready for the next stage of their lives.
